Admission Overview

Admissions are open for classes from Pre-KG to Higher Secondary, subject to availability of seats. The school follows a structured admission procedure aimed at assessing the academic readiness and suitability of students for the respective classes. The decision regarding admission rests with the school management.

Admission Criteria

Admission is based on vacancy availability and merit. While applications are accepted for all classes, strict government regulations are followed for higher classes. The school reserves the right to admit students based on academic performance, entrance assessment, and overall suitability.

Interview Process

  • Pre-KG and LKG admissions are conducted through a personal interview
  • UKG admissions are also based on an interview process.
  • Higher Secondary (Std XI & XII) admissions are based on Class X marks and personal interview.

The interview helps assess the student’s readiness, communication skills, and academic background.

Documents Required

Parents are required to submit the following documents at the time of admission:

  • Birth Certificate (attested copy)
  • Community Certificate (if applicable)
  • Transfer Certificate (original) for students coming from other schools
  • Evaluation Certificate for students transferring from other states or boards
  • Recent passport-size photographs
  • Any other documents prescribed by the school management.

FEE STRUCTURE

The fee structure at Velankanni Matriculation Higher Secondary School is designed to be reasonable and transparent while supporting quality education and student facilities. Fees are collected in accordance with school policies and are subject to revision as per management and government norms.

Term-Wise Fee Collection

School fees are collected term-wise during the academic year. The fee payment schedule is as follows:

First Term June
Second Term September
Third Term December
Fourth Term March

Fees for each term must be paid within the prescribed period to ensure the smooth functioning of academic and administrative activities.

Payment Modes

Fees may be paid through the following modes:

  • Cash
  • Cheque
  • Demand Draft (D.D.)

Cheques or Demand Drafts should be drawn in favour of St. Joseph’s Educational Society.

Fee Rules & Deadlines

  • Fees for each term should be paid **on or before the 10th day of the first month of the term.
  • If a cheque is returned unpaid, bank charges and applicable penalties will be collected from the parent.
  • Delay in fee payment may result in inconvenience to the student, including restrictions on academic activities, as per school rules.
  • All dues must be cleared for continuation of enrolment and for issuing Transfer Certificates.
